The person I asked about their spring bring was a good
friend from work. We have been working
together for about two years now at the library here at Kutztown
University. Before we went on break, she
told me something’s she would be doing over spring break and I wanted to see
how those things went. She and her
boyfriend recently broke up and she was eager to get back to dating and meeting
new people. When we talked before break,
she was telling me about a couple of dates she had planned over break and I was
eager to see how they went. We sat down
in the hot library one afternoon and starting talking. I told her about my spring break and then she
went on to tell me about hers. She was
sitting up straight and very anxious to tell me all about her exciting
break. First, she went on to tell me
about the first date she went on in the beginning of break. She was smiling and using her hands to
explain the date. I could tell in her
eyes that she really liked this guy. Her eyes were glazing at me and her eye brows were up. She
talked about their date for about twenty minutes and then went on to tell me
about the weekend she had with her mom.
She was still smiling and seemed very happy when talking about her
mother. She is very close to her mom and
sister. Next, she told me about the big
fight she had over the phone with her ex-boyfriend. She stopped smiling and had a straight face
on. Her face became disgusted as she raised
her eye brows describing her fight with her ex-boyfriend. While explaining everything to me, she had
micromomentary facial expressions the whole time. After we got through the conversation about
her ex-boyfriend, it was time to talk about something better and not
upsetting. She began to tell me about
her other date she had before break had ended.
She put that smile back on her face and begun telling me the details
about her last date. Her eye brows were raised while telling me about her date. I was very happy
for her that she was putting herself out there and being happy again. I never really paid attention to peoples face
expressions when I talked to them but it was very interesting doing that this
time.
